CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPERS
All papers will be accepted only in English and online through the congress website. Information will be entered into the system in English
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and may be selected for either oral or poster presentation.
The deadline for submission of papers is 20 February 2020, 23:59 (TSI). Papers submitted after this date will not be considered.
Papers that do not comply with the rules of writing will not be considered during the submission.
All papers accepted as oral or poster presentations will be published in the congress book and in supplementary issue of European Journal of Geriatrics and Gerontology.
In addition, 3 committee special awards, first, second and third place plaques will be given by the paper award evaluation committee.
ABSTRACT WRITING RULES
Manuscripts are limited to 3000 characters. Papers with more than 3000 characters will not be evaluated.
The manuscript should be written in Times New Roman font with 10 pt.
The title should be in a manner that describes the content of the study.
In the title of the abstract, all words should be written in capital letters except for the words in which small letters such as pH or NaCI have a special meaning. In the text, except for chemical symbols and international units, the abbreviation should be written at the place where the abbreviation is first used followed by a parenthesis.
The paper should contain the purpose, material and method, findings and conclusion sections.
It should be stated that the submission is for oral or poster presentation
The evaluation committee will decide how the paper will be accepted.
Papers should include the names, surnames, academic titles and institutions of the authors.
If the manuscript is accepted, the name of the author who will make the presentation should be underlined and institution,address,phone and e-mail information must be written.
The first letters of the drug-specific names should be capitalized. It is preferred to use the generic names of the drugs and the first letters of the generic names are not capitalized.
The text should not contain the name of the university / training hospital / hospital where the study was conducted.
Standard abbreviations are accepted. Abbreviations should be defined by being placed in parentheses immediately after the full word or phrase has been typed for the first time.
Place citations to references in square bracket, eg (1) If there are references after the abstract, there should also be citations to the refs in the abstract and vice versa.
References can be written up to 5. No references are required in case reports.
The duration of oral presentations is 7 minutes and case reports is 5 minutes.
Oral presentations and case presentations will be in different categories and will be presented in different halls.
The presenting author of the oral/poster presentation is required to register to the congress
E-poster viewing abstracts will have no specific presentation date and time. E-posters will be available at the e-poster sitations in Exhibiton Area at the Meeting. These posters do not reqiure printing or production of materials – as your work will be avaible for viewing electronically.
Authors may submit abstracts related to the following topics:
Care services (acute, post-acute, rehabilitation, palliative, long-term and home care)
Dementia and Depression-delirium
Diseases of musculoskeletal system
Diseases of the cardiovascular system
Hematological and oncological diseases
Mouth and dental health
Atypical presentations of diseases
Other conditions (fall and balance disorders, pain, sleep disorders, inappropriate drug use, drug interaction, drug side effects, etc.)
Feedback: Papers will be evaluated by the referees as soon as possible considering the date of submission and the authors will be notified by e-mail whether the papers are accepted or not.
